I too was casting on (and knitting) socks instead. It’s not like I didn’t do anything though. Like you I did a fair bit of thinking about it. I even picked up the instructions and pondered things more than once.

I DID buy the yarn for the Level II vest though. So SOMEthing was accomplished. And finally today I’ve been swatching for some swatches. Yes, it’s a sad fact that in Level II you have to swatch to determine a solution for cable flare…and then knit the actual swatches.
