Rhinebeck 2009

October 18, 2009 by Jen in CT

To be honest, I went back and forth with myself about attending this year’s New York Sheep & Wool festival. With snow and rain in the forecast, the thought of dragging two children up there wasn’t too appealing, but by Saturday evening, both kids were asking to go. So, this morning I got up, packed a bag full of gluten-free, hypo-allergenic food, and we headed up with my TAS. Now Rhinebeck 2009 is but a happy memory.

First, we made a quick stop at the drive up ATM.

When we arrived, we saw that the real Aflac duck was there!

along with a Peruvian Pan Flute band (which made me giggle):

Then Isaac threw a Frisbee for the Frisbee dog:

And then I got some fiber and a wheel to spin it with.

All in all, it was well worth the trip. It rained only a little and since we were all dressed in our woolies we stayed nice and warm. Yay Rhinebeck!

Oooh! A Hitchhiker! And in purple too, how exciting! I’ve always wanted to try one of those. How is it?

I think it’s hilarious that the AFLAC duck was there..

Wish I could have been there.. but thanks for the recap!

I was so excited to see that someone else blogged about their trip to Rhinbeck! Looks like you all had a great time. Oh other than worrying about visually impaired people at the drive through.

Yay! …I still haven’t really learned to use my wheel.

I wish so much that I was within distance of Rhinebeck, who knows maybe one year I’ll venture forth.

The ATM is too funny. I’ve always laughed at the drive through windows in bank, which have braile on them.

Love your wheel! What a neat set-up it is.

Yay for Rhinebeck! It was a blast, wasn’t it?

Neat! How do you like your new wheel?

    Oh, and “AFLACK!!!”

Awesome. Very strange looking wheel, but cool! I dig the purple.
