…on NaNoWriMo 2010. My tendonitis flared up again, and by the time it’ll feel better I’ll have to give myself tendonitis just to catch up again. And frankly I’m just not enough in love with my story this year for it to be worth killing my arm. I’d rather be knitting. Anyway, good luck to all the WriMos still plugging along! You can do it!

Ouch! That’s a bummer. I hope your wrists feel better soon. Sometimes, it just isn’t meant to be. But, at least you got the words you did. That’s more than you had before November began!
Ug. Too bad. But more words than I have and I just stopped because my life is too busy in November!!!! I still wish they’d do it in January or Feb. Don’t they know about Thanksgiving and Christmas??? But I assume they aren’t the ones making dinner and having to plan decorations and presents and meals and nativity plays and such.
Oh no! That sucks. :-(
I hope you feel better. I get carpal tunnel flares that are just awful.
I wasn’t able to get into it this year. Way too many things going on and my story kernels just weren’t doing it for me.
Oh, I am sorry! But your reason is more than valid – and it’s true, I think our Chris Baty clearly isn’t a grandma who makes Thanksgiving. I’m about to shoot across the finish line (900 wrds to go and I’ve been holding off…) but honestly? I don’t know if my stoopid story has anything in it worth salvaging. Also, at 50k I’m NOT very near the end, and my decision to keep going and just try to wrap it up by November 30 is what I’m considering now. I *think* there might be 2-3 worthwhile phrases in there….(I may be optimistic). But mostly: I hope your wrist problem solves itself quickly! That winds up being a heckuva nuisance with more than just typing…..
You can wri-mo any month– you know that. I have a friend who does it in June.
