Robert Jordan died yesterday afternoon after long struggle with amyloidosis. His series, The Wheel of Time, consumed many, many hours of my reading time and I am grateful he shared this story with the world.

Knitting Interrupted 
Wow. How can that even be possible. I think he was the best author I have ever come across – in complexity of story and character, and for grace in writing. I can only hope to be as good. The world is poorer today for the loss of his imagination and his ability to share it with all of us.
