Today I joined the ABC-along on Ravelry. The idea is to post a meaningful-to-the-photographer photo every other week that corresponds with the assigned letter of the alphabet for that week. I offer for “A”
the Amaryllis blossom at my friend Dawn’s house. We spend at least one afternoon at her house per week. The boys play while we knit together. Well, at least that’s how it’s supposed to work. Some days (like today) we spend more time mediating arguments and disagreements between our four boys than actually knitting, but we still have fun.
Speaking of fun and my friend Dawn, look what she gave me today:
Blue Moon Fiber Arts’ Socks That Rock in the Xmas Rock colorway. Isn’t it awesome? This my very first skein of STR. I love love love this yarn and can’t wait to knit with it. It’s soft and squishy and gorgeous. Thank you so much, Dawn!
I think it’s great that you get together regularly to knit (and/or mediate) with your friend.
Love your “A.” What a soft, pretty color. My amaryllis are all off schedule!
beautiful colors in both the flower and the yarn. I’ve met dawn, and she’s a beautiful person too. :) it fits.
that abc-along thing sound like fun…can’t wait to see what you come up with.
That yarn is gorgeous! Hurry up and knit it so I can see what it looks like knitted up! ;)
Beautiful flower and yarn! I need to teach my friend to knit so we can talk t=yarn while our 4 boys play! Those sound like wonderful afternoons to spend together.
Happy new year!
Gorgeous photos.
Unfortunately I can’t recommend the method that I successfully used. I had great results going down a needle size. I handed my level 1 swatches in before they started saying that those particular swatches have to all be done in the same needle size. It didn’t say anything about that in my directions and I hadn’t mentioned my needle size at all on my tags.
