Knitting

And really, who isn’t?

Whereas I am a comment whore and

Whereas I have received more than 1000 comments since this blog’s inception and

Whereas I am immensely grateful for every comment I get and

Whereas I am declaring today Knitting Interrupted’s official Delurk Day,

I am happy to announce a comment contest!

Say hello via comment by 10/13 at 11:59. You’ll be entered into a random drawing for this lovely skein of Yarn Pirate in the June Bug colorway.

(from the Booty Club)

Every comment I’ve ever received on all posts since January 22, 2007 will be entered into the drawing, so if you’ve never commented before, now’s your chance. Anonymous comments and those from family will not be eligible (sorry Mom and TAS). I will select the winner by random integer generation and make every good-faith attempt to notify by email, as well as make the announcement in a blog post on 10/14/2008 at 9 am. Winner will have one week to claim the prize. After one week, I will draw a new winner.

Thanks to all my regular readers, and those that pass through.

  1. Wow, that’s quite a contest! I think I would be scared to try to keep track of that many comments…

I really like your picture backdrop, by the way. Macs make everything better, don’t they?

  2. Oh I love contests and the yarn is fabulous! Not sure if I have left a comment before but I am delurking to make sure. Conrats on 1000 comments. :)

  3. First time reader, first time commenter. And honestly, it’s not so much the yarn as that I can’t wait to see what little monster I get over there on the side.

  4. Hello! Lurker commenting for the first time….yarn is a great bribe for getting ppl to leave comments! :D

  5. Delurk, delurk, delurk! What a fun word. :) Hmmm. I wonder how lovely the yarn will look knitted up with a healthy dose of shed bunny fur mixed in. I think every bunny in the house has decided to let all their fur fall out this week.

  6. Some are comment whores (me too) and some are contest whores ;) And if yummy yarn is up for prize, then really you would be silly not to play along!
Now of to stroll around your blog!

  7. Lovely yarn, lovely blog, lovely reason for a contest. Fellow yarn consumer from north Idaho where wool is a necessity!

  8. I’m a lurker, loitering with intent via the nano forum on Ravelry. :)

And who can resist the offer of something so purplicious?

What did you do about the 12″ sock?
