Pay It Forward is probably one of the best internet themes I’ve seen. The following is lifted almost directly from Divine Bird
I have joined in Pay It Forward, the blogging adventure in which I create handmade gifts for the first three people to comment on this post. In exchange, those three people must also post this on their blog, and create handmade gifts for the first three people that comment on THEIR entries…and so on, and so forth.
The great thing about this particular little meme, however, is that the time limit on the gifts is ONE YEAR. That’s right–you have ONE YEAR in which to make and send your gift. Since I am posting on December 6th, 2007, I will promise that the gift will arrive on your doorstep sometime between now and December 5, 2008. It may not be a big gift, or an especially expensive gift, and I might not even announce that it’s on its way. But it WILL be a special, handmade gift made JUST for you. I will take into account your likes and dislikes, and you never know whether it’ll be a knitted item, a box of cookies, or even a tape of songs I sing (okay, maybe not that).
If you want one of these very special little gifts, you have to be one of the first three commenters, and you do need to offer this same thing on your blog. Even if you’re not usually crafty, nothing says you can’t bake cookies or make a card or a scrapbook, or whatever. The only thing is that you have to make the gift yourself.
I’m looking forward to your comments! :-)
Later, a Finished Object…
Jen you sly dog. Is this just your way of getting me to stop lurking on your blog and actually say hi?
You and Clinique know that I’m a sucker for a free gift!
Love,
Jess
I’m in! Can you count stuff you’ve already given me? Now I will haveto get cooking up some great gift ideas.
Ooooohhhh! Me! Me! Me!
How fun is this!
