I had surgery on my left arm a few years ago, and it was HELL. I am a leftie, so it really affected my life. At the time, I was drawing a lot, which became impossible when my arm was in a sling. So I learned to draw with my right…it was quite an interesting exercise. My hands have two totally different styles. :)
Just sharing. :D Get better soon!!
Ah–the lost art of letter writing! As for cursive handwriting, you know that fewer and few school actually teach that anymore? Sad but true!
LOL That’s one way to do it. :-)
Necessity is the mother of invention.
Not that you invented handwriting, but tendonitis did make you inventive! Good to see a new post from you.
You crack me up.
Actually, I still practice penmenship. Total dork? Yes!
Half of the people I “talk” to monthly don’t use computers so I write letters. Hope you’re back to your normal self soon!
I love you…
A new paradigm in blogging–write it and photograph it–love it! Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Great post! I used to be an avid letter and journal writer. (And I would sometimes write left-handed, although I’m a righty). I’ve noticed the lack of handwriting teaching going on and lament it. I read that people who use cursive do better on the essay portions of the SAT. Something about flow and writing more quickly. Maybe we need writing tablets on all computers. Or something. Sorry for the disjointed and lenghty comment. Wished you and Rachel could have stayed longer. I’ll call you later.
