I haven’t forgotten you, my dear Interrupticans! It’s been such a fun and exciting day here and I had to catch up on my knitting before I could do a post! Today, I taught my very first knitting class. At the LYS, I met with four wonderful ladies and started showing them how to make toe-up socks, two at a time using the magic loop using this tutorial I wrote for my friend Adrienne a couple of summers ago. If you’d like to knit along with us, I think that would be great fun! Cast on as soon as you can and knit the foot until it is 1-1/2 inches shorter than the total length of the foot. We’re going to be doing the short row heel next week.
Also, don’t forget to set your clocks ahead an hour tonight!
I just went back and saw my comment on the original post. There was a time when socks were confusing? GASP!
Contests on teaching your first class! I’ll check out that tutorial. I’ve always wanted to get better at knitting socks toe up. : )
thanks! :-)
